happy housewarming!

After unpacking (mostly) everything, it was finally time to celebrate our happy home.

I wanted to make something for the party, and came across this tutorial for mustache sticks.  I started making some, and remembered these amazing free printables Jordan Ferney’s Oh Happy Day.  Go here and here for two amazing sets of party props!

I printed them out on heavy stock white paper, and cut them out.  With some leftover bbq skewers I used some scotch tape, and voila!  Party props.  A really easy way to liven up your party’s photos.  We didn’t set up a photobooth area, we just set them up on a table and let people wander around with them.  A big thanks to Oh Happy Day for making it so easy!

Joining me at the party was Kylie from The Purplest House; she is recently engaged to a wonderful man.  The very first of my close friends to get engaged.  I am so excited for them!  If you’re noticing the lack of ring on her finger, it’s just getting resized.  But visit here to see her beautiful vintage ring.

Thanks to all my friends for all the loot!  Look at that cute note from Serena. And she’s right, any day can be a holiday.  Especially with a little champagne.
