disillusioned superheroes

We’ve all seen it happen – the guy who saves the day suddenly doesn’t know why he’s doing it anymore. It seems that either the bad guys keep winning, the love of his life ends up with someone else, or worse, dies, bad things keep happening to good people, he has an existential crisis, or the love of his life doesn’t know he exists. You know how it goes.

Lora Zombie’s stunning prints depict these moments of confusion. Spiderman prancing about in a tutu? It may seem like a scene out of a bizarre indie play, but there is something quite beautiful about her work.
