paper art

We love crafting and one of the easiest, cheapest things to craft with is paper. There are a million different ways you can fold, cut, stick, and mould paper.  We came across some amazing artists who use paper as their medium. Their work is so precise and completely inspiring.

Claire Brewster

Claire takes maps and cuts intricate birds, flowers or insects our of them. We can only imagine the kind of patience precision this takes!

Benja Harney

Benja is a self-taught paper engineer from Sydney. He studied graphic design and used to work for a newspaper before opening up his store, Paperform. He makes unbelievable pop-up books and paper constructions. He recently got commissioned to design a pop-up book for Kylie Minogue!

Brian Dettmer

You’ve probably already seen this guy’s work (it’s been floating around the internet for a while now). He uses surgical tools, knives and tweezers to cut into old encyclopedias and dictionaries and creates magnificent scenes.
