a view from the bottom

Remember Menno Aden and his Room Portraits? Michael H. Rohde, also based in Berlin, did the exact opposite and took portraits of rooms From Below. You don’t quite know what you are looking at, but once you find a point of reference, the photos turn into trippy masterpieces.

It seems like everything is hanging in mid-air doesn’t it? We aren’t entirely sure how he gets this point of view or if he just recreates the rooms and then shoots through a glass bottom, but we love them either way!

All photos belong to Michael H. Rohde

About nosurefooting

Two Sarah Lawrence grads armed with their cameras, who have a penchant for making things pretty, following their eyes, following their hearts, even if they aren't always standing on their own two feet.
